Traditional amber Kvevri wine, fermented and aged on the skins, is one of the most remarkable expressions of Georgian wine culture. This is especially true for Rkatsiteli — Georgia’s most widely planted and iconic white grape variety. Made from Rkatsiteli grapes harvested in the Tsarapi microzone of Kardenakhi PDO, this wine is a classic example of the traditional Georgian amber style.
Golden-amber in colour, it opens with aromas of dried persimmon, white cherry preserve, quince, and subtle sweet spice. Full-bodied, soft, and well-structured, the wine shows a beautiful balance between lively acidity and velvety tannins, leading to a long and memorable finish. This magnificent amber wine is a direct successor to our Rkatsiteli 2019, winner at IWSC 2023.
Food pairing:
A natural match for Eastern Georgian cuisine, especially meat-based dishes such as khashlama, chakapuli, and hearty stews. It also pairs beautifully with fried chicken, satsivi, and walnut-seasoned dishes. Beyond Georgian cuisine, it works well with Asian dishes such as roasted duck, Korean grilled pork, mild curries, and fermented or soy-based flavours, as well as European dishes including roast poultry, pork, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses, and rustic vegetable dishes.
